Rubber Strips For Rhino-Rack Crossbars On A 2023 Ford Maverick

Question:

I just installed the roo rack on my 23 Maverick. The rails football shaped came with rubber strips to fill the channel on top. The strips only fill part of the channel leaving a large gap in the middle of the rails. Is this normal? I thought perhaps the rubber should fill the entire gap to keep water out. Please advise.

Hi Thomas,

The rubber strip provided with your Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA137B-2 should fully fill in the top channel of the crossbars to prevent water from sitting in the crossbar and reduce wind noise. Rhino-Rack loves to hide extra strips inside of the crossbars so I recommend removing an end cap and taking a look inside to see if you have more strips. If not then you can get more with # RRM626 (15-3/4" Long).
