Question:
I have a Mercedes C 300 coupe. I want to know what hitch should I purchase for the car. I am looking at a Thule bike rack with a 2 instead of 1 1/4. My bikes are 4 fat tire Bandit they weigh 65 lbs each Is wiring necessary with a bike rack?

Expert Reply:
The Curt # C11485 you looked at only fits sedan models. Unfortunately, there are no custom-fit hitches for the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C300 Coupe. If you want to add a 2" hitch you will need to take the # E17 to a local fabricator and have them fashion a custom hitch for your vehicle. If you're using a bike rack like the Thule Epos # TH49XE it would require 4-way wiring # 119250KIT to power the lights. Most bike racks do not have lights which means wiring would not be necessary.
