Question:
What should the output voltage be for a Curt 56468 trailer harness. Im getting voltage readings that are jumping from 14.5- .5 volts.

Hi Benny,
The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 56016 draws power directly from the battery so it's not uncommon for you to get a 14v +/- reading. With the vehicle running the alternator would be putting out a charge to your battery at this voltage so you're just seeing that come across through the wiring. The 0.5v reading can happen if your multimeter isn't touching the post correctly so that's not too unusual either.
If you're having issues with the the lights not functioning properly on the trailer or accessory that you have connected to the wiring then I would start checking the voltage before and then after the converter box for each function to see if the converter isn't properly operating.
