Can Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack be Used with 48.8 inch Wheelbase E-Bike

Question:

I am considering the Swagman espec bike rack. I have 2 ebikes with a wheelbase of 48.8 inches. The Swagman says max wheelbase of 48 inches. It looks like on the slide their is enough room to accommodate the extra 8 inches, but I would like your opinion

Hey Andy, the Swagman E-Spec part # S94FR would be able to accommodate a bike wheelbase that is 48.8 inches so it would work for you.

Hi Jameson. I have a follow up question on the wheelbase that the Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount will accommodate. Not to push the limits, but I have a Luna x2.5 medium size bike with a wheel base of 125cm which is 49.2125 inches. It seems like such a small difference in length from the 48.8 inches that it may work. Can you check that out? I appreciate it. Ross

@Ross That would be pushing the limit too far. A better option would be an e-bike rack with a longer wheelbase range like the EasyFold XT part # TH903202 which can fit wheelbases up to 51-3/16 inches.
