That is an interesting question, Bill. I will stary by saying that we sell a lot of RV and camper covers in all shapes and sizes, and we very rarely hear complaints of excessive mold or mildew buildup. Making sure the camper is completely dry when you install the cover, and making sure the cover is properly secured will help a lot to reduce the risk of mildew.
A lot of the newer covers, including the Camco UltraGuard Slide-In Camper Cover # CAM45773 that you were looking at, have built in vents. The vents are going to allow moisture to escape which will reduce the risk of mildew buildup. Also, this cover has a 3-layer construction. The middle layer is made of a porous, breathable film, which helps to repel the elements while allowing moisture to escape. These covers are designed for seasonal to long-term storage. I am sure that removing the cover every 2-4 weeks and wiping everything down would surely help keep everything mildew free, but doing so is not required.
