Where to Install Main Control Unit of Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play Duo on 2024 Chevy Equinox

Looking to get my 2024 Chevy Equinox set up for flat towing behind my motorhome. Purchasing the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DM86VR from you folks and wondering where the best spot is to mount the main control unit? Thanks!

That's a good question, as finding the exact right spot for the main unit of any flat tow braking systems can be perplexing, but for your 2024 Chevy Equinox, there's actually a perfect spot for the unit of the Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # DM86VR.

We did an install of this on a '24 Equinox, and as you can see by the photo, our installer went ahead and just mounted it right at the front of the engine bay using some self-tapping screws. Another option is right on top of the fuse box, which you can also see in the photo I added of the install we did on a '23 Equinox. For this you'd need to drill some holes on top of the fuse box and use some nuts and lock washers.

I like the first option at the front of the engine bay for the # DM86VR control unit simply to keep the fuse box lid untouched, but either spot is perfectly viable.
