I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C24ER for your 2024 Volkswagen Atlas. This receiver is made in the USA and is backed by Curt's reputation for quality.
You will want to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C67WR when you install the receiver. This will give you a 4-way flat connector which will allow you to connect to most small trailers. It can also be used with Auxiliary Lights # C53201 should you use a hitch mounted accessory which impairs the view of your tail lights.
