Sidewind Swivel Jack Recommendation for a 2014 StarCraft Camper Trailer with 700 lb Tongue Weight

Question:

I have a 2014 StarCraft 18foot camper trailer and would like to mount a swivel hitch, with side crank to the frame, preferably with a foot instead of a wheel. the tubes are 2x4, the tongue wt is 700#, I have about 5.5inch of space to work within for installation closest to the top of the A frame. What is the best product for me with these specs? I have looked at the fultons but they have wheels and are pricey but I am worried about getting one that is cheap and wont temporarily hold the weight. The camper has stabilizing jacks on the corners which will be used constantly to wt. bear. I only need the jack to lift the camper off the truck it is too heavy to push around on a wheel and then put it in place with the 4 stabilizing jacks. thanks for your help... I think your best option is going to be the Fulton F2 Swing-Up Jack with Footplate, # F1413230134. Like the other Fulton F2 jacks, it does have a higher price point, but it is one of the highest quality jacks on the market. Also, it is the only bolt-on swivel jack with a sidewind crank handle and a foot plate that we offer at this time.

This jack was designed to fit 3 inch wide trailer frames, so you will want to use a 1 inch spacer to take up the gap for the u-bolts. The mounting plate can also be welded to the frame if you prefer.

If you are okay having a jack welded to the trailer tongue, then your options open up. You could go with a more cost effective weld-on jack like the Bulldog Round Snap-Ring Swivel Jack, # BD151101. Bulldog is a sister company to Fulton and a well known trailer parts manufacturer.
