Question:
Two questions.... What size bolts are required for bolting it on? What is the measurement from the bottom face of the latch to the bottom of the bracket? Basically how big of a tab can fit under the latch for locking?

I went out to the warehouse and pulled a Trailer Tipper Latch # DL13353. The bolt holes on the bottom take a 3/8 inch diameter bolt.
For locking you will actually need to use a locking pin or pad lock with a 5/16 inch diameter. When in the locked position install the lock and the latch will not be able to open.
We have a Kuat bike rack lock, # HL1, that happens to be 5/16 inch diameter.
