  • Zinc TUFFPLATE finish
    • Zinc plated yellow chromate TUFFPLATE finish has three times the corrosion resistance of standard zinc plated trivalent chrome process and 30 percent greater corrosion resistance when compared to powder coated finish. Results of lab test using 5 percent neutral salt spray confirms our TUFFPLATE finish provides in excess of 500 hours against First Red Rust and in excess of 100 hours of First White Corrosion.

Great latch. Used two on my tilt snowmobile trailer, so i dont meed to fumble with clevis pins anymore

I have not used it yet, as by the posting of this review. However, I purchased this item for The Moonbuggy Club of UA, at the University of Alabama. We need a slam latch type mechanism and I ran across this item and it will fit our needs.. The delivery was extremely fast and item was described very well. The application we are using it for will not exceed the Trailer Tipper Latch design limitations. So It's a perfect design for our application.

Product is made very well, even though it sets farther from the side that it attaches to,than on the original. This makes the catch barely catch the edge of the existing catch plate.

    I went out to our warehouse and measured the Trailer Tipper Latch by Dutton-Lainson part # DL13353 for you. The dimension of the latch portion of the component is as follows: The top part of the latch is 4" long and 1/2" wide. The metal slide attached to the latch is 1/4" thick and has a length of 1-1/2" long x 3/4" wide. I have attached two pictures that will further depict these measurements.

  • How To Replace Older Tilting System On Boat Trailer
    I may have an option for you, but we do not the style catch you have based on the picture you provided. You may be able to use the Trailer Tipper Latch by Dutton-Lainson # DL13353 to replace your current tilting system, and this is currently the only tilting assembly we offer. The only option to get an exact replacement for what you have would be to have a local fabrication shop make one based off your current one.

  • Mounting Hardware Size and How to Lock Trailer Tipper Latch # DL13353
    I went out to the warehouse and pulled a Trailer Tipper Latch # DL13353. The bolt holes on the bottom take a 3/8 inch diameter bolt. For locking you will actually need to use a locking pin or pad lock with a 5/16 inch diameter. When in the locked position install the lock and the latch will not be able to open. We have a Kuat bike rack lock, # HL1, that happens to be 5/16 inch diameter.
