Question:
my Dometic GC10A-4E water heater... im reading it does not use an anode rod however the water smells really bad coming out of it. the rv guy said put a rod in it... would that help and if so what size would i need the 4.5L or the 9.25L ?

Since Dometic uses a clad aluminum lining on the tank to protect against corrosion it doesn't have anode rod. Instead they recommend flushing the tank to clean out any foul odors. I've attached a snippet from the manual below showing the proper steps to clean out the tank.

We stay in the same Az. Park for 5 months every winter the water supply is awful. We use a triple filter and a water softener. We don't have the option to supply our water heater with sulfur free water. Is there anything we can do about the smell. I can certainly flush the tank, however doing it once a week or so for five months would be a little inconvenient. Thanks, Tom
