I have a 2006 Chevy 3500 with a Circle D flatbed and a below the bed 2-5/16 ball. I am looking for a fifth wheel kit to pull an RV.

There are two options to use a 5th wheel hitch on a flat bed truck with a gooseneck hitch. The B&W Companion Flatbed Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter item # BWRVK3050 you were looking at is one of them. This hitch requires your Chevy's gooseneck hitch to be a B&W with a square receiver. If you don't have that we'll move on to option two.
The Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter item # DM8550046 is specifically designed to attach to recessed gooseneck balls in flatbed trucks like yours. This 5th wheel hitch has a 21,000 lbs capacity. It requires the top of the gooseneck ball to be 13/16" or closer to the top of the flat bed to work. The base measures 22" x 22" and it sits on your flat bed so your recessed well needs to be smaller than that.
