Question:
Will BandW turnover ball BWGNRK1104 fit 2005 Ford F150? How heavy of a trailer can I tow?

Expert Reply:
The B and W Turnover Ball Gooseneck Hitch, part # BWGNRK1104 would indeed be compatible with your 2005 F 150 SuperCab with 6-1/2 or 8 foot bed.
To determine the max trailer weight your vehicle can pull, go to the vehicle ID tag on the drivers side door jamb. The tag should list a figure for GCWR (gross combined weight rating). This figure represents the maximum the vehicle plus the trailer can weigh. From the GCWR, deduct the GVW (gross vehicle weight). GVW is the curb weight of the vehicle, plus all passengers and cargo. The result you get will be the GTW (gross trailer weight), which represents the max trailer weight your vehicle can safely tow.
