Roof Rack/Bike Rack/Kayak Carrier For 2013 Ford Focus ST

Question:

Do you know if any of the roof rack and the full both wheels on roof rack bike attachments you sell will work on the 2013 Ford focus st without interfering with the rear spoiler. I plan on switching between carrying 2 kayaks and 2 mountain bikes and dont want to modify anything or cause any potential damage. Thanks.

After looking at the 2013 Ford Focus ST, I do not believe a roof rack and bike rack would interfere with the rear spoiler. It appears that the crossbars would sit several inches above the level of the spoiler. So you would be able to fit a roof rack and bike rack on the roof. My only concern would be opening the rear hatch. With a bike rack installed you may come close to contacting the hatch when it opens. You will want to open the hatch very carefully until you are sure that you have proper clearance. For a full roof rack system I recommend the following:

I am not sure exactly what kind of bikes you have, but I really like the Rhino-Rack Hybrid Roof Bike Rack # RRRBC050. This is a wheel mount roof bike rack that can hold a single bike weighing up to 45 lbs apiece.

For a Kayak carrier I recommend the Rhino Rack Kayak Roof Rack # S512-S512X. This can hold one or two kayaks and includes all of the necessary tie downs.
