How to Tell if Gen-Y Executive Pin Box Will Have Same Clearance as Lippert 1716 Pin Box

Question:

I am considering a gen-y pin box for my 2010 Forrest River Sierra 365RG. Pulled by a 2020 Silverado 2500HD 6-9 box. Current hitch is a Lippert 1716. I am concerned about the out front length of the gen-y and the bed height length to verify I will have clearances. I am frustrated that our website does not provide any measurement specs for most of your hitches. Where can I find these measurements? Thanks

For your application you need the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel Pin Box # GY45SR rated for 4.5K tongue weight. To check how this will fit with your current setup you'll need to compare the location of the bolt holes to the king pin and how those compare to your current pin box:

- Top hole to king pin plate is 12.786"
- Front row of bolt holes to middle of king pin is 17.122"

We don't list out truck dimensions because those can be found either on the truck manufacturer's website or by the consumer physically measuring it on their end.
