Troubleshooting 2023 Mazda CX-5 Wiring Harness Causing Driver's Side Blinker to Blink Fast

Question:

I have the same problem on a 2023 Mazda CX-5. After I plugged in the wiring harness into the driver’s side rear harness the driver’s side signal blinks fast but the passenger side flashes normal. When I unhook it and try the signal it blinks normal. There is nothing plugged in to the trailer plug and It is grounded by itself and has a clean metal surface.

It sounds like you've installed the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C45FV on your 2023 Mazda CX-5 and something is shorting out.

While there is the option to get the wiring harness replaced under warranty, the best thing to do is check all of our connections (like what you did with the ground) to ensure this doesn't happen with any other wiring kit.

Double check that the ground is properly secured to a clean, bare-metal surface, and then look at the connectors and make sure they are clean and free of any debris and dirt as well. Anything in them can cause issues so we have to check all of that first.

If everything looks good then the wiring kit itself could very well be the problem and you'll want to get that replaced under warranty.
