Is There An Adapter Allowing B&W Patriot Sliding 5TH Wheel Hitch Fit Factory Prep on 24 Sierra 3500?

I currently have this hitch installed on my 2022 GMC Sierra 2500, I am changing to a 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 with the 5th wheel prep package. My question is. Is there an adaptor plate that will work for this hitch to the GM prep package ? Also do I need any of the mounting hardware from my old truck ? or not worth the time to remove it. thanks

You are going to need to switch to a hitch like the B&W Companion Slider OEM 5th Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3775 with your 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 having the 5th wheel prep package. The B&W Patriot Slider # BWRVK3270 has a unique design which will not allow it to work with any 5th wheel rail adapter.
The Companion Slider # BWRVK3775 will attach directly to the bed mounts without the need for an adapter. If you are getting a long bed you can go with the Companion Fixed # BWRVK3715 since you will not need the slider hitch for turning clearances.
Generally you are best off leaving the mounting hardware/rails on the truck as it can take quite a bit of work to remove everything when it is not going to fit on your new Sierra due to having the in bed hitch system.
