Expert Reply:
The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System, part # TJRL4 you referenced is not designed to increase the tow weight capacity on your 2003 Jeep Liberty. There are many elements that determine the towing capacity of a given vehicle. The engine, transmission, suspension, and overall structural rigidity of the vehicle should be taken into account. The capacity is dictated by whatever the lowest rated component is. Increasing the load bearing capacity of the suspension (which the Timbrens will NOT do, by the way) will have no effect on the towing capacity.
The Timbren system is designed to help stabilize and level the vehicle and improves the suspension while reducing sag and helps compensate for off-center loads.
