Troubleshooting an Atwood GC10A-4E That Does Not Heat

Question:

My red light comes on when i switch to propane but within Five minutes I see two red lights on the switch and its not heating ? I have the Atwood GC10A-4E Propane / Electric

There could be a few reasons why your Atwood water heater is not heating when on propane. The most common reason is that you have an issue with your propane supply. You're going to want to make sure that you have full tanks of propane and that you are getting good flow. You can check this by testing another appliance that uses LP gas like a stove.

If that is all good, then you can rule out your LP system and shift your focus to the water heater as that's where the problem is going to be.

I also recommend making sure that your control panel is receiving proper voltage, if it is then you have a bad control board and it'll need to be replaced with # DMC89FR. If it isn't then you know the issue is with your wiring and you'll need to make sure your wires are connected properly and doesn't have any breaks.
