Question:

I have a 2016 Acura MDX, which would fit this product as per your website. My goal is to mount a rooftop tent for 3 people, Is it recommended to mount the tent on the roof rails? Do I need additional parts to prevent the wind thrust on the tent when driving at high speeds? Please advice. Thank you

Yes that is correct the Inno Square Crossbars # INB127 with the Inno Feet for Square Crossbars # INXP and the Custom Fit Kit for Inno XS300, XS350, XS400, XS450, INTR, and INXR Roof Rack Feet # IN78FR will all work just fine with your 2016 Acura MDX and will serve as a great mounting point for the TMBK tent you're interested in.

It is not only recommended but required to mount the tent onto a set of crossbars. The factory flush rails aren't going to provide the needed space to mount the tent. Additionally, nothing else is needed for wind resistance as when the tent is stowed for traveling it should be in a pretty aerodynamic position.
