What it the backset dimension for this door lock? The required measurement from the edge of the door to the edge of the cutout?

From the cutout hole to the edge of the door will need to be approximately 1-1/4" in order for the plunger of the Bauer Products Camper Door Lock # BA44FR to sit far enough out to catch the opening/strike plate in the door frame and hold the door closed. RV doors will typically have a flange that sticks out further than the door itself so make sure you're measuring from the edge of the door and not the flange, otherwise you'll put the cutout hole too far over.
