Question:
I need a base that allows me to remove the jensen antenna and replace it with a stubby 4-6 inch antenna. Is the jensen antenna removable and is it a generic thread that will allow me to fit other antennas? Also what are the base dimensions - height and width? I need to cover the existing antenna hole, so I need to make sure its large enough to cover.

I had the folks in our warehouse measure the base of this Jensen Antenna # JAN139. The base is 2" tall and 1-3/8" wide. The antenna can be unscrewed from the base. Generally the threads are not generic and the bases will be brand specific to the antenna. We only have the Jensen brand antennas here, so I was not able to test this with other brands. That said, the antenna included with the # JAN139 is only 6" long.
