Question:
I may have to tap the holes in my vibe before installing this hitch. Can you tell me the size and thread pitch of the bolts that come with this kit?

Expert Reply:
The Draw-Tite Class I # 24812 hitch attaches to nuts welded into the frame of the vehicle using M12 X 40mm bolts which have a 1.25 thread pitch.
If the weld nuts in your frame are corroded or clogged up with road grime, before resorting to chasing them with a tap, you can try cleaning them using some spray lubricant like WD-40 and a wire brush like the one on a battery terminal cleaner # DW00254.
