Tekonsha Prodigy P3, Display Reads No Brakes Short to Battery
Published 03/06/2014 >
Question:
My brake controller Prodigy P3 gives me a code saying no brakes, short to battery. What do I need to do to correct that. Thanks

Expert Reply:
The message on the display of your Prodigy P3 most likely is Open Ground No Brakes, which indicates that the ground wire of the brake controller is not making a solid connection to your vehicle battery. To fix this you will need to check the condition of the ground wire from the brake controller and fix as necessary.
I attached an FAQ article on troubleshooting brake controller installations for you to check out also.
