How Does The Thule Caprock Platform Truck Bed Rack Install On Ladder Rack?

Specifically speaking, how does this attach to a ladder rack? Does it absolutely need to be a Thule ladder rack? Does it work with other brands? Is it light enough that one person can install it? Sorry about all the questions, Ive never used one of these before!

This Thule Caprock Platform Truck Bed Rack for Xsporter # TH45YE is specifically designed for attaching to a Thule Xsporter Pro Adjustable Height Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH500XTB. You would remove the crossbars from the ladder rack and install this platform in place of the crossbars. This unit weighs 63.9lbs so you will likely be able to install it by yourself.
We do have the Thule Caprock Platform Truck Bed Rack for Crossbars # TH65YE which is capable of mounting to crossbars between 3/4" to 1-7/8" tall and up to 3-1/4" wide. This is the same size platform at 59" long and 75" wide but has clamps to attach around the crossbars.
