Are Nerf Bars Interchangeable Between 2005 Suburban And Silverado Crew Cab?

Question:

Hi, im looking to buy nerf bars for my 2005 Suburban. Is the part interchangeable with the same year Crew cab? Thanks

No, unfortunately the Nerf Bar brackets and hardware for a 2005 Suburban are different than the ones for a 2005 Silverado Crew Cab. That said, sometimes the bars themselves are the same, as you can see in the example below.

2005 Silverado LD Crew Cab: Westin Premier Oval Tube Steps w/ Install Kit - 6" Wide # 22-6040-1075
2005 Suburban 1500: Westin Premier Oval Tube Steps w/ Install Kit - 6" Wide # 22-6040-1535

Both of these kits use the same exact nerf bars, part # 22-6040. The difference is that the Silverado requires Install Bracket Kit # 22-1075 while the Suburban requires Install Bracket Kit # 22-1535.
