Question:
Pin on emergency brake was pulled partially while driving. Heated the lines, burned through the wire burned the conduit, and one of the lines burned thru. Wondering how to temporarily disconnect to get to a dealer? Prior response suggested pulling the battery from the emergency assembly — will that still work if lines are broken effectively open switch with the line broken?

Expert Reply:
Disconnecting the Breakaway Battery # 3801250 will prevent the Breakaway Switch # 3802348 from activating as long as the charge line is not connected directly to the same terminal as the breakaway switch. If the charge line and power for the switch are connected directly you will need to disconnect these 2 wires.
