Roadmaster Base Plate Recommendation for a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk

Question:

I have your hitch on our current car. Can I buy just the brackets and use the rest of the set-up I already own.? Also could you provide information as to the requirement to alter the fascia on the front of the Cherokee Trailhawk? Its different than the other 2014 Cherokee models. Thank you

The Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plate Kit # RM-521446-4 that you referenced is the correct base plate kit for your 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. If you have a Roadmaster flat towing setup with all of the other needed components then this would be all you would need to flat tow your vehicle.

If your Cherokee has 4 wheel drive or the Activedrive 2 system, to maintain the vehicle's stable steering while being flat towed you will want to install the Mopar accessory kit 68321424AB available from your Jeep dealer. This kit will prevent the Cherokee's steering from shaking while being flat towed.
