Question:

I am looking to set up my new Mazda Cx-5 with a new roof rack system. I have an older Thule rack system that uses the old Thule square bar LB50 and two 835XT Hull-a-port kayak J style carriers. I also have 4 lock cores. I was wondering if some or any of these components can be used on a new rack system for a 2023 Mazda CX-5?

Yes, you can reuse your Thule SquareBar item # TH712300 with your 2023 Mazda CX-5 but they will be 3" shorter than the item # TH712400 that is recommended to be used. Since you'll be reusing the same bars the Thule Hull-a-port carriers will work the same. You will need a couple of other parts depending on whether or not your Mazda has the side roof rails installed from the factory. I have listed everything you will need below:
