Over Under Conversion Kit for Tandem Axle Car Hauler
Question:
I have a double axle car hauler and would like to flip the springs so it rides higher. I use it behind and RV and the hitch will bottom out as well as the end at times. I looked at Item # K71-384-00. I would probably need 2. Also does this need to be welded? Thanks!

Expert Reply:
The Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-384-00 is the correct part for your car hauler if you have 2-3/8" diameter axles. If you have a 3" axle then you need the # K71-385-00 instead. You will need two kits, one per axle. This does not require welding for installation, check out the installation video below so you can see what the process is like.
