Does Edge Programmer for Ford F-150 Still Require Tow/Haul Mode Button
Question:
I have a 2014 Ford F-150 fx4 Ecoboost with a tow/Hall button. If I change the tuner to Tow, do I also need to press the tow button, or vis-a-versa, does the tow button on the truck do the same tuning that the programmer installed? Also, does the tuner need to remain plugged in, or can I unplug it so the truck remains in the last tune set?

Expert Reply:
Our programmers that fit your 2014 Ford F-150 ecoboost like the Edge # EP85350 do not supersede or take over the tow/haul mode of your truck. I would recommend still activating that as well as tow tune on the programmer. This will give you the engine tuning that increases power as well as the shifting improvements of the tow/haul mode.
