Will The Timbren Suspension Create a Harsh Ride On 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 6500 Chassis With Crane?
Question:
Hi I have a 2022 Chevy 6500. It’s a service truck with a crane and welder it weighs about 19,800, gvwr is 23k. I had to get a few leafs added to the springs in the back but it still sags a bit and leans to one side slightly. I’m wondering if the timbrens will work in this situation being that they will be engaged all the time with this much weight on them. I tried timbrens in the past on a 2018 Colorado and they rode super rough while towing a trailer. I don’t want to make this truck ride any rougher but would like some more rear support. Is there any type of guarantee if I try them and they don’t work right for me?

The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TURMDE for your 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 6500 will help to reduce sag and body roll while you are driving. With the suspension on your Silverado already having so much weight on the back from the crane as well as the welder and box you will not notice as harsh of a ride like you experienced when they were on your 2018 Chevrolet Colorado. The springs they use on small trucks like your Colorado I feel are way to stiff as they are often rated for thousands of pounds more than anyone would ever be able to put on their vehicle. While the System # TURMDE is rated for 15,000lbs this is going to very close to the maximum rear axle capacity on your chassis.
