Is the Andersen Ultimate 5th Wheel Hitch Connection Hard to Hook Up

How hard is it to hookup the new Andersen Hitch? The part that attaches to the 5th wheel, is that hard to install correctly or do you need a RV service dealer to install?

If you're referring to the Andersen Ultimate 5th Wheel Hitch Connection you'd actually need to reach out to Andersen directly as we don't carry this. That said, Lippert, the trailer frame manufacturer for most new trailers on the road today does not actually endorse this product and it will actually void the warranty if used. That said, we do have a similar type of fifth wheel hitch that won't in the Curt CrossWing Lightweight 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C86JR which uses a funnel style connection system that makes it easier in a sense that you can see everything out your back window or cargo camera if equipped. I have used this hitch a few times before which you can see in the attached video I did. It does take some getting used to but once you do, it will be easier to coupler than a standard fifth wheel hitch. The CrossWing is also very lightweight at only 60 lbs so you can get it in and out of the truck yourself. The install portion on the trailer is very easy, it's just two bolts.
