Hi there, I just bought a new to me 2017 toyota sienna. I currently have thule wingbar evo 53 cm thule part 711400 from my old car that i would like to use. According to thules website, the wingbar isnt compatible with the sienna and only bars that go in between the factory rails work, but that makes absolutely no sense to me. I saw one of your videos about installing a rack on a 2017 sienna, and it referenced this part: TH710401 Can i use those feet with my current cross bars on a 2017 sienna? Thanks

You're right, it doesn't make much sense, so I reached out to Thule and they confirmed the Evo Raised Rail Feet # TH710401 do not fit the 2017 Toyota Sienna. Then I asked why that might be since they are raised rails and they were unable to provide a specific reason behind it. So while I know it sucks, I can't tell you that it's okay to use your current WingBar crossbars since Thule says it won't work.

If you want a rack on your '17 Sienna, maybe you can sell those crossbars and go with a very solid alternative that I know will work, from Rhino-Rack, which consists of the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA126B-2.

Rhino-Rack is a very high quality rack that will give you the same performance and strength as the Thule, but it is a better overall value. Or if you just want something very simple for occasional use, there is also the least expensive alternate, the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack # MPG215.
