Question:

Between Bristol and Valterra waste valves, which one is easier to find parts on the road across the country and Canada? Can a Valterra gate valve directly replace a Bristol and vice versa?

In my experience Valterra has been MUCH easier to get in contact with and get parts from than LaSalle Bristol. Dometic is the parent company for Valterra and typically has pretty good customer service every time I've called them. It's a bit of a wait on the phone usually, but LaSalle Bristol typically doesn't get back to me unless I email them.

That being said both companies model their gate valves (Valterra # T1003VP) (LaSalle Bristol # 34439240) to fit standard dimensions, so they are interchangeable.
