Replacing A European Style Entry Door Lock On A 2022 Keystone Carbon 358 5th Wheel Trailer

I am replacing my OEM European Style lock.with a BP 31. I need some directions on how to install the striker plate on my 2022 Carbon 358.

The Bauer Products European Style RV Entry Lock # BA58AR is designed to replace motorhome locks so the cutout in your 2022 Keystone Carbon 358 5th wheel most likely isn't going to be the setup for this style plunger and latch. The door would need to be cut to allow for the latch to catch the plunger like it is in the attached picture (A) below. The handle side of this would install the same as other door handles and just slip in through the cutout hole and bolt in place with bolts screwing in from the door to the latch.
The striker hardware would also be hidden inside of the frame of the door with just the plunger portion exposed. The hardware has two mounting holes that will use bolts to secure in place, as seen in picture (B). You'd have to pull out this portion of the door frame in order to expose the this area and install the striker.
If you aren't setup for this style door latch, like I'm suspecting, then you would need the Bauer Products European Style RV Entry Door Lock # BA26AR instead, which uses a standard plunger and strike plate and would be a much quicker swap out for your trailer.
