Yes, the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver # SH54VR will fit your 2018 BMW M240i X-Drive convertible. We do also have this as the Receiver Kit # SH48VR which includes the Towing Kit # 391CONVA7. This additional kit is needed if you will need to tow with your BMW. The receiver you found is only to be used with hitch mounted accessories and should never be used with a ball mount for towing.
The Carrying Case # 391CASEC is recommended to store the ball mount or receiver when not in use. This will keep the parts protected and secured in one place so you do not risk loosing smaller parts.
