Helpful Expert Reply:
The Curt Trailer Hitch, part # 13559 is a fit for your 2014 Volvo XC90. Per the instructions, some minor trimming of the fascia may be necessary when installing the hitch. This Class lll hitch features a 2 inch receiver opening and bolt-on installation. It comes with all of the hardware and the installation instructions.
When using a hitch on the back of your vehicle you will want to consult your user manual or your dealership to make certain you do not exceed the manufacturer recommended weight capacity of your vehicle. Many times hitches can have a towing weight capacity and a tongue weight capacity that exceed the vehicles capacity.
Whenever components of different ratings are used together the lowest-rated item determines overall capacity.
