Troubleshooting A Clicking Sound From An Everchill RV Refrigerator
Updated 01/31/2023 | Published 01/29/2023 >
Question:
Is the clicking sound from a properly working Everchill 10.7 frost free refrigerator, like EV97FR, likely from the defrost relay? If so, is it controlled by time, or temperature, or both? Thanks.

The clicking noise could possibly be coming from the condenser/compressor relay in your # EV97FR. This is typically caused by a rise in temperature due to the compressor working harder than normal or just overheating due to dust build up clogging the airflow.
I recommend taking the lower rear panel off and vacuuming out any dust you find and cleaning the panel as well to ensure proper air flow. You may also need to keep the fridge sitting further out from the wall to maintain proper air flow going forward. This fridge requires at least 2" of space behind and 3.9" of space on each side for proper heat dissipation.
