This 4inch yates roller with 1/2inch shaft appears to have an in the center hole or roller shaft hole for the 1/2inch shaft to slip into. Is that correct for this roller. My existing rollers have a 1/2inch shaft and so I wanted to make sure these will fit my exisitng 1/2inch roller shafts.

Yes the Yates roller, # YR4163-4P, does indeed have an approximate 1/2 inch diameter center hole for use with a 1/2 inch shaft. You mentioned that you have a shaft already but if you determine you need a new one use # CE10700A which also comes with new pal nuts.
If you determine you also need mounting brackets you can use # CE10211G or # CE10300G.
