My technical contact at Derale confirmed that you will use your stock transmission filter on your 1997 Ford F-350 Powerstroke when installing the Derale Transmission Pan Cooler # D14208.
To install this properly your truck must have either the E4OD, 4R100, 5R100 or 5R110W transmission.
To verify this will fit I have attached a picture with the pan cooler measurements noted. The pan has a depth of 6-1/8 inches and a tube depth of 4-3/8 inches. This pan can hold up to 7 quarts.
