Will Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit - 7K Work If Leaf Springs Have 6 Leaves

Question:

I have a 2021 riverstone legacy 42fskg. It is a tri axle toy hauler with 7000lb axles. I am thinking of upgrading to the roadmaster comfort ride slipper spring but am concerned that it only has 4 leafs whereas my factory set has 6 leafs.

The Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit part # RM-2460-2570-3 uses four-leaf spring packs which have a 3,500 lb capacity per side. In regards to the number of leaves within a spring pack, this is not always relevant to capacity since the individual leaves can have different thicknesses. For example, a four-leaf spring pack can have the same capacity as a six-leaf spring pack as the leaves in the four-leaf spring pack are thicker than the leaves in a six-leaf spring pack hence how they are able to hold the same rating.
