Can The Rod Holders Be Removed From The Yakima TopWater Rooftop Fishing Rod Carrier

Question:
Can the rod mounts be removed so that the interior is wide open? Looking to place snowboards into this unit and the exterior dimensions work with my roof rack and other boxes I have. I just need the shell to be wide open inside.

Yes, the rod holders in the Yakima TopWater Rooftop Fishing Rod Carrier # Y04088 can easily be removed. They are held in place by bolts with an Allen-wrench head that can be seen from the outside of the box. If you look at the 9:26 minute mark of the attached video below you can see the bolts I'm referencing.
