Is It Fine If Only The Rear Wheels On My 2019 Lincoln Navigator Has Snow Chains?

Published 12/14/2022

Question:

Sorry to ask a redundant question. My owners manual for the 2019 Lincoln Navigator states: “Do not install chains on the front tires as this may interfere with suspension components.“ Will I have sufficient traction while on road in snow with these chains on only 2 wheels?

Since the owner's manual is stating that you need to avoid putting tire chains like the Konig Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - Assisted Tensioning # KON94FR on the front tires, then you will be fine only putting chains on the rear tires.

The owner's manual does also state that these chains need to be class S compatible, which the Konig # KON94FR are, and to not exceed 31 MPH.

I have attached an installation video for you to check out as well.
