Compatibility For Thule Hull-A-Port 835PRO and Thule WingBar EVO Cross Bars on a 2023 Ridgeline

Question:

Just purchased the Thule Wingbar EVO and mounts for my new Honda Ridgeline. They fit the truck fine but I am trying to mount my Hull-a-port PRO 835PRO kayak carrier on the bars without much success. I have the XADAPT 11 but am unable to slide the adapter bolts into the bar channel. The nuts fit in the channel but the rubber seals on the top of the bar are so tight they are preventing the bolts sliding between the seals. Do I have the right parts and/or is there a better way to do this?

I reached out to Thule for clarification on the compatibility of the parts you have. They explained that the Thule WingBar Evo # TH711500 with the Evo Clamp Feet # TH710501 and Fit Kit # TH79RV you installed on your 2023 Honda Ridgeline are not compatible with the Adapter # THXADAPT11 you have on your Hull-A-Port 835PRO. That adapter was only compatible with the AeroBlade roof bars. You will instead need to use the 80mm Bolts # 915-068-054 which came with your 835PRO along with the cradle mounts to secure to your WingBar Evo crossbars. We do have the Metal Bracket # 853-5513 and Knob # 753-0783 available in the event you no longer have them.

If you prefer to have a J-style kayak rack the Thule Hull-A-Port Aero Kayak Roof Rack # TH849000 which includes channel mounts for your WingBar Evo. Or you can upgrade to the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Roof Rack and Lift Assist # TH898.
