Can Malone Channel Loader be used on Truck Cap
Updated 12/05/2022 | Published 12/01/2022 >
Question:
Can this unit be used to load a kayak on top of a Ford F-150 with an A.R.E. cap installed? Its about a 6 ft. lift to the top of the roof, and the glass on the cap has about the same pitch as a lot of SUVs, only that its a bit taller. My wife and I are both in our 70s and its getting a bit harder to get that 65 lb. beast up there.

Expert Reply:
Absolutely; a 65 lb kayak is a chore to get on a roof for anybody, so a load assist is a really good idea. Your truck cap won't be an issue, and will allow you to use the Malone load assist, which is the following part number:
- Malone Channel Loader Kayak Load Assist # MAL48FR
