Question:

I've got a long bed 2023 GMC Sierra 3500 that i didn't get the puck system with. I need a set of rails that sit inside the bed to mount my 5th wheel hitch on. I would like a set that is easy to install and mounts on the outside of the frame.

To add a set of industry standard rails to your 2023 GMC Sierra 3500 you will want the Curt Fifth Wheel Installation Kit item # C16429-204. This kit fits the 8' foot or long bed Sierra's.

This kit is custom fit and bolts to your Sierra's frame with included hardware. It installs in pre-drilled holes along your trucks frame. The brackets do mount on the outside of your frame to allow for an easier installation.

These industry standard rails will allow you to attach a Curt 5th wheel hitch and any other 5th wheel hitch that fits on industry standard rails like B&W, Draw-Tite, or Reese.

I have linked a couple of pictures below that will show you what these rails look like installed along with an installation video.

To make towing with a 5th wheel easier I recommend adding the Demco 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness with 7-Pole Plug item # DM8555002. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your 5th wheel trailer easier and more convenient.
