It does sound like your struts are needing replacing. With that being said, I recommend checking out the :
- Replacement Gas Strut for Short and Flat Solera RV Awnings # LC280343.
This strut is designed to be used with Solera awnings, measures 26" extended, 15" collapsed, and has a maximum force exerted rating of 124-lbs.
You'll just need to remove your current strut and take some measurements, then find a strut that matches the measurements you need.
