Trailer Tailgate Lift Assist From Heavy Duty Utility Trailer
Published 10/19/2022 >
Question:
My heavy duty utility trailer side walls are 28 inches from the bed to the top of the angle iron and the gate is 50 inches from the hinge to the farthest point. The literature indicates up to 24 inch side walls for this product. Will this work if the walls are a couple inches higher? Even if I dont get the complete benefit of the lift assist, any relief it can provide will help. Thanks!

The Gorilla-Lift Utility Trailer Tailgate Lift Assist w/ Cable # GL1 can be used with your 28 inch rails but like you said you may not get all the functionality out of it.
The bars have a weight capacity up to 300 pounds and have a fast, easy installation with included hardware. It has durable stainless steel cables.
