Can Camco Gen-Turi RV Generator Exhaust System Bushings Be Welded On For Installation
Updated 09/12/2022 | Published 09/10/2022 >
Question:
Im going to purchase a Gen-Turi Exhaust extension for my 2022 Thor Vegas 24.1 with a 4000 Onan gas generator. As the generator/exhaust pipe is located directly below our bedroom design flaw and safety is our biggest concern, is more advisable to weld these bushing to the tailpipe vice using the provided clamps? NOTE: I would have a certified muffler shop do said welding. Thank you in advance and I look forward to your reply.

I reached out to Camco regarding a weld-on installation of the bushings for the Gen-Turi RV Generator Exhaust System # CAM44461. According to my contact, this is a perfectly acceptable way to install the system. When possible, welding will always outperform something like the clamps that are included when performed by a professional. That would be the most secure way to install this and remove any need for concern.
